I purchased one at Target in June 2007. By November it quit working; it would just not turn on. I complained violently to Oster and they sent me a replacement unit and by April that unit [burned] out with the same problem. I have read several other reviews on different sites with the same complaint.

I have had several Oster blenders over the years and they all have failed prematurely. Their quality is horrible and they obviously don't care. I am sick of filling up my blender with ingredients just to turn it on to find out it won't work.

Yea, this model was OK while it was working, but it is not worth the hassle.

I have had this blender for a few months and have enjoyed it but it is rather loud when blending on the frozen drink feature and the max blend. I do like the glass jar and the lid is nice and air tight. I bought it becuase I like multi purpose items like this because it says it is a food processer and blender. I don't like how the food comes out when I use the food chop feature. I think a food processer would work much better. It is a powerful blender though just too loud!

I bought this blender specifically for a big party I was having to make frozen adult beverages. It was awesome and made my rum runners, margaritas and pina coladas spectacular and had my guests standing in line for more! They mixed up perfectly, and my husband was wowed by the reverse motor, which pulls the ice to the bottom to be blended, unlike other blenders where you have to lift the lid to push ice to the bottom. My adult son wants one for Christmas, he keeps trying to take mine home! I would recommend this blender to any one who wants a good all purpose blender. Oster is a good name, and the price is right! Party on dude!!!!

i bought this blender in november and it has already stopped working. i will be bringing it back in to get it replaced but is just annoying to have something quit on you within a month.

I have been researching blenders online for 2 months. I bought a lousy store brand blender a few years ago and don't want to make the same mistake. I was going to buy the Beehive but the reviews all say that it is too loud. I looked at the professional series blender but didnt like the lack of speed options. Target has the Fusion on sale so I bought it. I used it immediately. HEAVEN! It works GREAT! I made a smoothie out of pineapple, oranges, kale, soymilk and ice. I used the preset timer button - and it was done ! silky smooth in less than a minute. No un-blended chunks!! The best thing about it - its quiet! its even quieter than my cheap old blender. its very efficient and powerful without the earth shattering vibration/noise. BUY THIS BLENDER. At a higher price this would have been well worth it. with the preset button I don't have to stand there and hold the button or watch it. Put the items in - do something else and come back done!! this is a great product!

Sound familiar: "Good when it works"? Like another customer who purchased the unit in June of '07, this one worked fine until it just stopped. Period. No power, nothing. Yes, it was out of warranty, used not much at all (!), but this is not the Oster of old. Customer service was not interested in accepting my contention that this was not a trustworthy product and, in fact, demeans the (usually good) Oster name. My advice: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. BE VERY WARY OF ANY OTHER OSTER PRODUCTS. THE GOOD OLD DAYS OF OSTER QUALITY ARE GONE.

I bought this blender about 5 months ago and have used it almost every day since with no problems. It blends frozen fruit into a puree quickly and it washes up easily in the dishwasher. The only con is that it's rather loud. I'd buy it again without hesitation.

I bought this blender after a bad and very short term experience with my last blender. I only regret that I didn't just spend the extra money sooner. It is really powerful. The reversing blades make smoothies and other frozen drinks easy.
I have not used it as a food processor yet, but I'm optimistic. I love it!

I was leery of spending [..] on a blender, but I've been pureeing baby food and I've gone through 4 cheaper blenders. This blender is awesome. Just push a button and it puree's smooth every time. I also have made slushes for my daughter and mixed drinks and after 2 cycles of the pre-programed drink button, there is not a single chunk of ice left. Best blender I've ever used.
